Konstantina Kuneva is a female, single mother, migrant worker and grassroots syndicalist who was attacked with sulfuric acid by employer-hired thugs in late December 2008. She has suffered major injuries and is being treated in intensive care in Athens since. The attack happened in the aftermath of the December revolt, and the solidarity response of the movement was vigorous and dynamic throughout the country. Fund raising events are still taking place in various greek cities because of the urgent need for money, that will allow Konstantina to travel to the USA for an elaborate and very expensive operation, which her only chance to have some of her basic bodily functions restored.
Benefit event for Konstantina: Screenings, discussion, food and live music on Friday March 13 from 5 to 11 at 100 Flowers squat, 2A Belgrade Road, Dalston N16 8DJ. The event is organised jointly by Greek comrades in solidarity, local Turkish/Kurdish workers organizations, and comrades from North East London squats.

I’m working since dec on bringing informations to germoney, informations that not many seem to get a hold of.
the few that care are waiting for an info-campaign i organise for april but i’m not sure if that really makes sense anymore.
all the work seems so senseless esp. seeing that indymedia deutschland eliminates the links to anarchist sites and probably all what came via my i.p. address. But i just don have the time to work through their silly blabla-shit to figure that all out, also my health isn’t good and i’ve lost my job cuz of my work for the greek movement but that’s worth it by any means. Wouldn’t be such a drama in germoney cuz if ya’r alone, don smoke and booze ya’d make a livin with welfare (plus a yearly trip with easy shit, haha) but i don like to take money from that shitty state that allows these manchester capitalistic work condition and propers out of it!
My occupation is bike messenger but i’m a persona non grata in the local business since i was interviewed on t.v.
I think bike messengers gots together with slot-builders for the music industy the longest running history in subcontractor bullshit.
But as my thoughts about anarchy allows to think in capitalistic veins there are also some ideas to solve some of our problems in that way: build up not only syndicates to fight back and for workers rights but also to build collective structures to organize our own economy! esp in the states there are a few nice examples how that can work out and it seems be connected to the I.W.W. aka the Wobblies!
I think others can learn out of these experiences to how to “steal” away the clients of the subcontractor cuz at least they are our clients!
Yet in this socalled crisis one has to decide about new markets – in our case for pedal powered machines – and build up something that in it’s consequences can lead to our own society of working classes that gets rid of the money. But that’s a long run and more like a perspective! We all will be like Don Quichotte trying to convince the society of the imperialistic overpopulated 1st world. All these fuckers in their frat cars that try to kill me daily are on the side of the bastards! Just imagine how many poors one could feed by only one of these planet gasers!
The system only wants us as cheap workers and blind consumers that reproduces itself in patriachal structures and jerky sparetime – more and more even that gets impossible in over-americanized working conditions!
In the end they’ll gonna put us away in ghettos like they actual do with refugees and social/political prisoners!
So why don take a big shit of cheap diet
in their faces, build our own “ghettos” in a shadow economy, destroy their systems by ignorance and finally blow the pix up to mars?
things i think i know about what happened and still happens in greece:
all this ballistic thoughts that go around regarding the murder of Alexis are bullshit. The riot-cops use army amunition (illegally) and if the bullet was like this the official version makes sense. Normally police ammunition isn’t tight enough to kill in an indirect way!
i know of minimum one refugee (i think it were two and hating this body count i can’t verify that 100%) the cops were clubbing to death in the time of the revolt! i know that in athens there were discussion how this could get forgotten to post!
Konstantina they really tried to kill, they put that stuff inside her body!
if ya wanna kill cops with an AK 47 you gotta do that from a 400 meter distance and not 40 meters close!
also if ya wanna throw a handgrenade through a window ya’d better use something like a brick to open the window first!
esp in this case everything sounds scarry but i don know enough to make some final blurbs, only thoughts:
from the first “urban guerilla” actions on that were done with heavier ammunition than that what normally in my eyes revolutionary groups use it always sounds like warnings and/or provocations to lead the yet founding movement into a escalation/fear.
I think it’s a cooperation of hardcore commies and the greek secret service!
For this theory speaks also that i’ve read
that the attacked social centre is in some way pro n17
also that the 15/16 year old son of the stalinist communist party boss got shot in his hand in dec got covered as a party joke and as this stalinist dissed the rioting roman, alban and african kids as “talibanis”, applaused by the nazis, shut his mouth makes sense.
so, as said, just thoughts. May be all our posts – most of it in english directly transfered from greece – are still on this german indymedia side and someone of you got enough skills and time to filter that out, do so to proof me but i don think that’s necessary!
watch out for greek artists touring europe for benefitting the black cross and Konstantina, book them and get in touch with salonika and athina for more great bands from this forgotten culture, send ya own bands down there and book the real american bands for tours in south europe to pay tribute and build up a new d.i.y. culture without the fake-bands and the punk-roq-industry!
get the information process closer, get into touch with greeks in your countries, also if they look too normal for you (remember that not karl marx invented thesis/antithesis!) cuz they suffer for it and feel shitty that the european media ignores what is going on and decide on copy cats to show the folks down there that we don leave them alone! Also the “normal” solidarity groups that work on third world or middle east should decide on to level down their work and get into this here. Finally that’s still europe and europe is one belly of the beast, this hydra gots not only a few heads!
For the krauts that like to talk and party too much instead of doing somethang: if ya don co-operate we close down the greek beaches for you!

This story has devastated me.I feel sick to my stomach. I admire and respect all those who are working to help Konstantina and to make change for the better. It must be a real balm to her and her family to know that people across the world care. I can’t come to the event tomorrow, but I have made a donation to the account and I hope to hear loads of good feedback from the event. Good luck all x
