#503 | February 23: what if we don’t leave Syntagma?

The idea has been making the rounds in the Greek blogosphere like crazy: “what if we stay at Syntagma this time?” What if this is not just another demonstration to diffuse our anger? What if we hold our position and collectively decide what to do next? The biggest changes, it seems, can start from staying still.

What if we stay at Syntagma this time? What if we refuse to leave?

It’s kind of an interesting strategy, but one of the key reasons the Egyptians stayed was a lot of them had no jobs to go to, and virtually nothing to lose. Greeks are still mostly employed, but that’ll probably change soon enough.
