Now it’s us that shall talk! Call for a paneuropean uprising on 5th of June
Since 25th of May, thousands of citizens have filled the squares of the whole country, claiming to take our lives into our hands. We have different ideological backgrounds, but what unites us is the indignation for all that is happening, and also our desire for justice, equality and dignity. We are different, but we are and will stay all together united!
At the same time, similar mobilizations take place everywhere in Europe. On Sunday 5th of June we coordinate our pace and meet at 6 pm at Syntagma Square, and all the squares of the country, and everywhere in Europe. Our voice needs to be heard loudly everywhere:
-because whole peoples cannot be sacrificed in order for the lenders not to have losses – the debt is not ours and we are not going to pay it,
-because this political system which makes poor people poorer and rich people richer, cannot anymore decide for us without us, and has to be subverted,
-because we want to live with dignity from our labor, without the constant terrorism of unemployment,
-because all those that looted the common wealth must be punished,
-because public and free health and education are inalienable rights of all,
-because the “Medium-term Program” must not pass.
The organized disinformation does not scare us. We will stay in the squares until all those that created today’s dead-end go away and do not come back with a different mask: IMF, “Memorandum”, Troika, governments, banks and all those that exploit us. We will go on demonstrating united and collectively until “Ταραχή να πέσει στον Άδη, και το σανίδωμα να υποχωρήσει από την πίεση τη μεγάλη του ήλιου”
DIRECT DEMOCRACY NOW!
Popular Assembly of Syntagma Square – 2 June 2011

Keep on fighting, your struglle its OURS too!!! (A)
for success among the protesters, unfortunately the following is perhaps not seen as modern or “left wing” enough, though by the perpetrators of the crisis it will be called left anarchism. wrongly.
some roots of the problem can be discovered in the 19th century.
therefor, please read “noli me tangere” by dr. jose rizal, who successfully opened the eyes of his countryfellows about their system of corruption and cronyism. progress may be slow, but we? we don’t make any, since generations.
we are not aware of the nature of our hierarchies, speaking mainstream. rizal’s readers to the bigger part are.
also, please try to translate rizal’s essays about “indolence” into current european conditions. there are lots of interface connections with the past, the problems coming from the very same caste and their educational systems.
it need not even be deliberate, the structures of european communal administration do shape minds and there is little escape.
keep on and take care!
There is a translation of the manifest at Germans Indymedia. I dont know if the translation is correct but it sounds good
May there will be a solidarity action tomorrow evening, we will see. I whish you success!

“ 2. The following People’s Assemblies of Syntagma Square, until Sunday, June 5 should address the following question: How should the concentrations of June 15, 2011 be organised from the morning, in all the squares of the city with posters explaining the terms of the “Medium-Term Memorandum” (μεσοπρόθεσμου μνημονίου.)? Then, [how should we] make protests that will encourage our citizens to participate, ultimately leading to Syntagma Square for the occupation of the square and the blockade of parliament.
3. Radio 100.1 Vol.{*} Proposed suspension of the radio broadcasts, in order to come to the square and to make broadcasts from Syntagma Square. ”
{*} It’s not called ‘Radio Vol.’
That’s an automatic translation (one should transcript the name, not translate it: Radio Entasis – entasis means tension, volume, etc. in Greek – supposedly a ‘self-organized’ radio station that has caused many serious problems to anarchists’ free radios)

This is an outrageous topic – in Greek – in the General Discussions of the real-democracy.gr site:
One asshole is calling people to forward to ‘the legal group of the assembly’ the demand of banning Athens Indymedia once and for all…
http://real-democracy.gr/el/comment/4273#comment-4273
Will the assembly or its ‘legal team’ accept this request? Who knows…
In my opinion, we shouldn’t even link to the real-democracy.gr site anymore

Furthermore, Syntagma square’ assembly should be split in smaller, more creative assemblies, as it happened in Spain
If 3,000 people attend Syntagma for a popular assembly, they should suggest to have nearly 15 assemblies of 200 participants that could be held at the same time (rather than attending an aggregated assembly)
I assume there will be many many people out on the streets on Sunday, June 5th, from early in the evening
these difficulties are symptoms telling that there is need for long-time cultural work, in making people immunized against all that hijacking. they are a bit gullible, right?
(what I am suggesting above is an attack on the status quo, a movement originating from the middle of mainstream, when the virus of understanding can be spread, and it is not infected with the leftist-rightist polarization when it starts, but then will lead to the correct conclusions.)
the left-right polarization has become a red herring to debilitate any social movement that is going to draw the conclusions that would bring success.
we must go far beyond that notorious answer that there were leftist dictators as bad as rightist.
the problem is in how people organize bigger undertakings and then how those who have leading positions, deal with their supporters. there are blueprints about these habits, coming from the feudal state and its administration, and the supporting churches. and greek and spanish feudalism isn’t too far away sitting in the past. to the contrary, it is revived by international interests.
I just discovered this site and the analogous Greek version. This is wonderful. Keep up the good work. A revolution never requires the active will of the majority. It fearless endeavors of a determined minority. Love of country and people is what drives us. The rest will follow whoever leads the way to a brighter tomorrow.

‘Peaceful’. But for how long?
“Juncker suggested that agency could be modeled after Germany’s so-called Treuhand agency that managed the sale of companies and assets in the country’s east after the fall of communism.” http://www.athenswire.com/eurogroup-head-greece-needs-privatization-body/ (with independent experts from abroad…)
Papandreou already agreed to such a Treuhand-like instution, be on alert and fight it, since the Treuhand destroyed millions of lives and had/has deep negative impacts on the society in former GDR. it caused a huge and still ongoing wave of economical emigration, countless of seperated families, mass unemployment, isolation and loneliness of people, no future there in east germoney…
the Treuhand was an institution that atomized the society in order to colonalize it. it’s heads came from west germoney e.g. rohwedder, a politican and head of hoechst, a steel enterprises that now is part of krupp. he was executed by a raf command in 1991 and got replaced by breuel. she is member of a powerfull oligarchic family of private bankers and traders from hamburg and was a politician, too. see how “independent” those experts were… it became the biggest fiesta for the capitalist bosses in the history of west germoney. there was so much corruption in treuhand that it has an own word: treuhand-crime. it smashed the industry of gdr to destroy competition. from 4 mill. workers at least the half lost their jobs within a short period. in early 1990 rohwedder estimated the profit by the sell-out of the public property of gdr at 600bn dm. the treuhand closed in 1994 with a profit of 60bn dm and a loss of 300bn dm.
this colonialism did not only happen in gdr but at least to all the countries that are now member of eu and were part of the east bloc, just that there has not been such an institution like treuhand. there it were the old mafia structures, who sold out the former state property to the industrialized western states.
