1.57 PM People are slowly dispersing from Syntagma in what seems to be a quiet first day.

1.01 PM Syntagma slowly filling up as demonstration reaches the square. It is 30 degrees hot. Approx. 100.000 people on the
streets.

10.45 AM As people gather to the strike demonstration gathering point (Museum, next to the Athens Polytechnic) there are riot police squad, undercovers and DELTA in most streets and side-streets leading there; there is confirmed police presence at Bouboulinas and Stournari; Solomou and Mpotasi; Mpotasi and Koleti; on the Kleisovis pedestrian street; around Kaniggos square; all along Akadimias Ave and its side streets.

Athens and the rest of Greece is bracing for the 48h General Strike of November 6/7 and the mobilisations that are likely to follow in the succeeding days.

In the transportation sector:

• All major mass transportation mediums are striking on both days – metro, buses, trolleys and the suburban railway (TRAINOSE).
• Taxis are also on strike today (Tuesday).
• There will be no ships on either day.
• No flights on Wednesday between 10am and 1pm.
