February 20th General Strike in Greece – updates

All updates are from the General Strike march in Athens, unless stated otherwise. Live feed from Athens here.

14.30 The anarchist blocks have reached Syntagma in the past 20′ or so. There are clashes around Panepistimiou Ave, particularly at the junctions of Korai Str, Edouardo Lo Str.

12.40 The PAME union is currently having its demonstration, which is one of the largest it has held in recent years.

12.30 All metro stations in the centre are closed following police orders. There is an unusually high police concentration and checks around the Victoria (Green line) station.

11.45 Heraklion, Crete: demonstrators attacked a police car, flipping it over.
